I've been wanting to make these rosettes but never had the chance to do so until now. I tried looking for a Silhouette Studio template but didn't find any so I created one. At first I just made the straight edge until I saw a scallop edge which I love sooooo much! So I added scallops on the first template that I created. Oh I had so much fun making these rosettes. Anybody interested, just sign up as a blog follower and indicate your request on your comment below with your email address and I'll send you the Studio file for free. The 2 big rosette-like at the back were made using a design I bought from the Silhouette online store so I can't share that one. The design is called "Round Lolli".

Hi these rosettes look great! THanks for your comments on my blog. Th ecorner shapes were made with a Marianne Creatables corner die cut, Ruth :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ruth. I found the Marianne Creatables online but the vendors are all in the UK. I'll keep on searching for a local vendor. I just saw a video tutorial on rosettes using different borders, really beautiful. You're my very first visitor on my blog as I haven't made any announcement about it yet as I'm still trying to complete it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would love the studio file for making the rosettes, I bought the Tim Holtz die and its perforations are making all my flowers rip apart...not great for my first die purchase for my recently bought Big Shot... love the idea of the scallops... Found you through the Silhouette users group.
ReplyDeleteCathi, I just e-mailed you the templates. Some of the rosettes that I made were made out of very light paper only and they held up pretty well, absolutely no tearing on the perforations. Let me know how yours turn out using my templates.
ReplyDeleteI would love the Studio files. scraptist@gmail.com
