I found a video on shabby chic flowers making use of lace and I immediately took out my box of laces and created these easy to make flowers. You just basically do a running stitch on one side of the lace and then pull the thread to create the shirred effect, sew both ends of the lace together, put a vintage like embellishment in the middle and voila, you have a shabby chic flower. There are tons of video tutorials on You Tube, just search for 'shabby chic lace flowers'.
I thought of the Hat Card that I previously created and made new hat cards knowing that these flowers will look fabulous on the hat. Instead of the black and ivory color scheme that I previously created, I used different colors this time. For my new followers who have not seen the Hat Card yet, check it out, another free file.
